Tricolore sport marathon a.s.d. In collaboration and under the patronage of the municipalities of reggio emilia and quattro castella, of the emilia-romagna region and of the province of reggio emilia, it organizes the track and field event for track and field athletes included in the fidal national calendar.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Athletes Registered in Italy
According to the provisions of the "Regulations for the organization of events" issued by Fidal, athletes registered in Italy may participate only if aged 20 and over with one of the following requirements:
Athletes registered for 2022 for Fidal affiliated companies.
Athletes in possession of Runcard (valid as sports insurance and allowed to compete): age 20+. Participation is subject to:

Athletes Not Registered in Italy
Italian / foreign athletes who are not registered in Italy may participate, if at least 20 years of age and in possession of one of the following requirements:
Athletes with club card affiliated with Foreign Athletics Federations recognized by the Iaaf.
Upon registration, they must alternatively present the self-certification of possession of the card recognized by the Iaaf. The self-certification will then have to be signed in person at the time of bib pickup.
Athletes in possession of Runcard (valid as sports insurance and allowed to compete), age 20+.
Participation is subject to:

CONFIRMATION LETTER
A few days before the competition, all registered athletes will receive a valid e-mail as official confirmation letter. This e-mail will contain all the basic instructions for collecting the bib number and taking part in the race. It is not necessary to print a copy of the email, it will be possible to present it on a device such as a smartphone or tablet.
REGISTRATION FEES AND TRANSFER
The participation fee is not refundable. In case of documented impossibility to participate in the Reggio Emilia Marathon - Città del Tricolore 2022, the athlete can transfer the registration for the 2022 edition to another person, or postpone their registration to 2023. The transfer of the registration to another athlete or the postponement to the 2023 will be subject to an additional processing fees of € 9.00 until November 25, 2022.

BIB PICKUP
Bib pickup will take on Saturday, Dec. 10 (10am to 8pm) and Sunday, Dec. 11 (7am to 8:30am).

The first three Italian men and the first three Italian women (in the "Assoluti" ranking) will receive the medal (and/or cup and/or other equivalent prize). With the exclusion of the first 10 places (for both men and women), awards will be given to all athletes finishing the race under 3 hrs (for men) and 3h30' (for women).

TIMING
Timing and rankings are under the responsibility of Timing Data Service Srl and validated by the Technical Judge / Appeal Judge.
STARTING GRIDS
The assignment of the starting grid will be based on the best time achieved in the last 2 years in an official marathon, as stated in the entry form. In case of failure to indicate said time on the registration form, the organization will automatically assign the last grid. The organization reserves the right to check the time declared by the athlete and make the appropriate changes on the grid assigned if any discrepancies are found.
Any changes will be authorized only upon presentation of the documentation certifying the chronometric performance relative to the reference grid.

BAG STORAGE
Each participant will receive, together with the bib number, a sticker with their bib number to apply to their bag. A bag deposit area will be set up at the marathon center. Delivery of the bags is from 7:30 am to 8:30 am

TIME LIMIT
The route will be closed to traffic for a maximum time of 6h00 '. Athletes who finish the course after 6 hours will be considered out of the race. Gate to the half marathon after 3 hours at 12:00.
REFRESHMENTS & SPONGES
The Fidal regulation states that refreshment stations must be provided at the start, at the finish and every 5 km along the entire route. Water, tea, supplements, solid foods (biscuits, fruit, etc.) will be present at all refreshment stations. Sponging points are provided at km: 7.5 - 12.5 - 17.5 - 22.5 - 27.5 - 32.5 - 37.5. To reduce the environmental impact, athletes are required to throw sponges, bottles, glasses into the appropriate containers located at the refreshment stations.
pacer SERVICE
A pacemaker service will be set up to help athletes achieve the desired chronometric result. These are the expected final times for which pacemakers are available: 3h00' - 3h30 ’- 3h45’ - 4h00 ’- 4h15’ - 4h30 ’- 4h45’ - 5h00 ’- 6h00’.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE & MASSAGE SERVICE
Medical assistance will be set up at the start and finish area and along the course with fixed stations with ambulances, doctors and nursing staff. Physiotherapy massages, you will available at marathon expo.
WITHDRAWALS
There will be pickup points for athletes who withdraw during the race. They will be dropped off near the marathon expo where they can pick up their own bag.
PHOTOGRAPHERS
With PhotoToday the photos of your race immediately on your smartphone! The Pica code is on the race bib. If you have lost it write an email to info@phototoday.it indicating the BIB NUMBER AND RACE NAME and they will send you your personal Pica Code. With the Pica service, all participants will be able to receive their photos directly on their smartphones, immediately after the race and in full respect of privacy. The photos will be available during and immediately after the race, once you have accessed the app (or the site getpica.com) and entered the code on the bib, you can see and you can buy.
The purchased photos will initially be in lower resolution to have the opportunity to share them immediately online with your friends and relatives (however in a good and clearly visible resolution), the next day the photos will be available in high resolution (obviously at no additional cost). During the event PhotoToday will photograph all the runners along the route several times and on arrival.

RANKINGS & PARTICIPATION DIPLOMAS
The rankings will be available on the official website of the Reggio Emilia Marathon - Città del Tricolore www.maratonadireggioemilia.it or at www.tds-live.com where athletes can download their participation certificate.
COMPLAINTS
Any complaints will be presented within 30 mins of the first presentation of the rankings, first verbally to the Arrival Judge and in second instance in writing to the Appeal Judge, accompanied by the fee of 100.00 Euros, which will be refunded if the complaint is accepted. For anything not expressly provided for in this regulation, please refer to the general regulations of FIDAL. The Group Judges will be able to disqualify athletes who do not pass through the survey points located along the route.
IMAGE RIGHTS
By registering for the Reggio Emilia Marathon - Città del Tricolore 2022, the athlete authorizes expressly, together with the legal entities with which he has professional and commercial relations relating to and related to the resumption of the images of the event, to the free acquisition of the the right to use the still or moving images on which the athlete may appear, taken on the occasion of its participation in the Reggio Emilia Marathon - Città del Tricolore 2022, on all visual aids and on promotional and / or advertising materials produced and distributed throughout the world and for the maximum time provided for by the laws, by the terms, by the treaties in force, including the extension, if any, which may be made to the period envisaged.
SANCTIONS AGAINST FRAUDULENT PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION
The member is responsible for the ownership and custody of his race number, acquiring the right to use all the services mentioned in this regulation and subsequently communicated.
a) Anyone who, without regular registration, participated without a bib, in addition to being held responsible for damage to persons or property, including himself, will incur sports sanctions for which federal bodies are responsible and may be subject to the penal sanctions provided for the crime of “theft" (Article 624 of the Italian Criminal Code).
b) Anyone who, without regular registration, participated with a counterfeit or otherwise non-compliant race number, in addition to being liable as indicated above, will incur sports sanctions and may be subject to the penal sanctions provided for the crime of "theft" (Article 624 of the Italian Criminal Code), or, alternatively, for the crime of "fraud" (Article 640 of the Italian Criminal Code).
In cases a) and b) the participants may be subject to the penalties provided for the offense of "failure to comply with the provisions of the Authorities" (Article 650 of the Code). The aforementioned cases will be found only after verification of photographic and / or video documentation.

DECLARATION OF RESPONSIBILITY
By registering for the Reggio Emilia Marathon - Città del Tricolore 2022, the athlete declares to be fully acquainted and to accept the present regulation and to accept in its entirety the following declaration of responsibility. "I am aware that participating in the Reggio Emilia Marathon - Città del Tricolore and / or sporting events in general is potentially a risky activity. I also declare to voluntarily register and assume all the risks deriving from my participation in the event: falls, contact with vehicles, other participants, spectators or other, weather conditions, including scorching heat, extreme cold and / or high humidity, traffic and road conditions, every type of risk well known and evaluated by me. RACE CANCELLATION
If the race is canceled and / or, in any case, not carried out for reasons that are not dependent on and / or not attributable to the will of the organizers, including the revocation of the authorization for the performance by the competent Public Bodies, for any reason: Tricolor Sport Marathon and its co-organizers are not obligated to provide any reimbursement of the expenses sustained and those incurred by signing the application for registration also as a waiver of any claim for compensation for damages and / or indemnity and / or any reinstatement and / or satisfactory claim of a possible financial loss suffered and suffered.

In compliance with European laws on privacy, all personal information collected by the organization will only be used to create participants lists, rankings and archives. Personal data might also be used by the organization and its partners to send participants information about the race. By registering for the race, the registrant agrees to such use of his/her personal data.
FINAL NOTICES
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify this regulation at any time for reasons that it deems appropriate for a better organization of the competition, after having given notice and obtained approval from FIDAL. For matters not covered by this regulation, the technical statutory regulations of FIDAL and GGG apply. Any changes to services, places and times will be communicated to the registered athletes appropriately or will be reported on the website www.maratonadireggioemilia.it Furthermore, the documentation containing the information essential to take part in the race will be provided by the organization together with the bib.
